– Tayese Academy of Arts and Culture has announced Celebrate Women Exhibition, her debut art exhibition targeted at celebrating women/men in arts.
It is a dynamic showcase honouring the creativity, resilience, and impact of women/men in the arts and beyond.
The exhibition will open on 26th of April, 2025 in London, bringing together a collection of works from 21 talented artists- Emmanuel Ayinuola, Samuel Godwin,Duvwiama Edirin John, Medeyonmi Akran,Olamide Bakare, Ayodeji Awoyomi, Shegun Oseh, Ayooluwa Folayan, Ife Olowu, Gbolahan Olanipekun , Uzor Pamela Ifejoku, Aqsa Nasar, Ayodeji Ayodele, Chidi Ebere,Ololade Koleosho, Temilola Hamzat Adegbile, Sunday Oluwaseyifunmi Dabo, Rasaq Adewunmi, Ololade Koleosho, Kester Onyemaechi and Etienne Akpan – across diverse disciplines, including painting, texture, photography, mixed media and others.

Key Highlights of the Exhibition:Featuring Emerging & Established Artists – Showcasing a curated selection of art creations from both rising and renowned women artists and also display of women centered artworks created by men.Diverse Artistic Mediums – Paintings, textiles, digital art, and more exploring themes of identity, empowerment, and femininity.Interactive Panels & Workshops – Engaging discussions with artists, thought leaders, and cultural influencers on gender, arts, and representation.Community Engagement & Youth Programs – Educational initiatives encouraging young artists to explore self-expression and storytelling.
The art curators are women who are doing exceptionally well in the art space, Favour Ben and Kikelomo Solomon-Ayeni, a global talent awardee by the UK Arts Council,England speaking on the significance of the exhibition, Favour Ben who also doubles as the project lead, Arts and Culture shares that:
“Women have long been at the forefront of artistic and cultural movements, yet their contributions often go unrecognized. ‘Celebrate Women’ is our way of amplifying these voices, creating a space where their stories, struggles, and triumphs are honored through art.”
