On April 27, the Lahore Arts Council presented an enchanting concert featuring the Sarangi and Violin. This event showcased the profound beauty of these two significant instruments from South Asia. Distinguished sarangi player Zohaib Hassan and acclaimed violinist Abdul Wahab enchanted the crowd with their exceptional renditions.
Chairman Alhamra, Razi Ahmed, attended the event and personally greeted the artists, commending their remarkable skills. During his speech, he lauded the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts for its substantial efforts in fostering excellence in multiple fields such as sarangi and violin performance.
The Executive Director of Alhamra, Tauqeer Haider Kazmi, highlighted the crucial part played by the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts in fostering Pakistan’s music sector. He stated, “Our aim is to offer aspiring artists valuable chances to hone and display their abilities.” Kazmi also portrayed the event as an enchanting night filled with the soulful sounds of the sarangi intertwined with the gentle tunes of the violin.
The performance was enriched by the presence of Ustad Dadu Khan on tabla, Asghar Ali Shirazi on keyboards, and Atif Ali on drums, contributing intricate rhythmic textures to the heartfelt renditions.
