Features his iconic diagonal series along with a carefully curated collection of pieces from other prominent artists like M.F. Husain, S.H. Raza, K.H. Ara, F.N. Souza, Sadanand Bakre, Krishen Khanna, Ram Kumar, H.A. Gade, Ganesh Pyne, Jogen Chowdhury, G.R. Santosh, K. Laxma Goud, Thota Vaikuntam, Bikash Bhattacharjee, Satish Gujral, B. Prabha, Sakti Burman, and Manu Parekh, amongst others. Additionally, the exhibit showcases significant sculptures by renowned artist Himmat Shah.

belongs to his famed Diagonal series. The oil on canvas work was executed in 1973 and represents the prime phase of Mehta’s artistic career. The Diagonal series is attributed with the discovery of

his pinnacle of creativity in crafting human figures.

Lot no. 34 is an untitled work by M.F. Husain executed in oil on canvas in 1970. The lot belongs to a significant period in his career when his artistic language had fully matured, and his exploration of themes like movement, mythology, and human-animal dynamics had deepened.

Lot no. 23, Untitled (Nala Damayanti) by N.S. Bendre was executed in 1974 utilising oil on canvas. It showcases a mythological or symbolic theme, set in a dark forest, with two figures as the central focus.

The untitled piece from F.N. Souza, listed as number 56, was created using oils, pastels, and polyvinyl acetate on canvas in 1963. This artwork showcases Souza’s characteristic use of color and his dynamic brushwork to portray a richly detailed and vivid scene.

Auction lot number 13 features an untitled oil painting on canvas created by Ram Kumar in 1967. This striking abstract landscape exemplifies the artist’s characteristic use of muted colors.
