Dhaka Flow’s Youth Wellness Festival 2025: Empowering Students for a Healthier Tomorrow

Dhaka, April 28 — The Dhaka Flow Youth Wellness Fest entered its second year with great momentum, successfully completing six insightful campus visits throughout Dhaka.

With four more stops ahead, the event continues to inspire students to prioritize their mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, laying the foundation for the next generation of thriving leaders.

Dhaka Flow made its debut at North South University on April 13 and since then has attracted numerous participants with its dynamic mix of yoga, fitness routines, group therapy sessions, breathing exercises, and inspirational discussions. The event series has now reached thousands of students across various institutions including IUBAT, Canadian University, ULAB, IUB, and most recently, Presidency University, according to a press statement.

Based on the press statement, every occasion has brimmed with connections, movements, and profound discussions centered around mental health, comprehensive well-being, and leadership.

Monday’s event at Presidency University was a powerful showcase of energy, resilience, and connection, it added.

The event included a yoga class with the energetic Eeman Ahmed, an engaging Zumba session conducted by Hafsa Ibrahim from Dhaka Flow, and also featured an unexpected performance by several students.

The students were equally privileged to listen to Tabith Awal, the President of the Bangladesh Football Federation, whose talk about leadership, well-being, and resilience made a profound impression.

“The purpose of this festival extends beyond wellness activities—it aims to foster a culture where asking for assistance is seen as normal, therapeutic practices are embraced, and young individuals feel motivated to take charge of their paths toward well-being,” stated Shazia Omar, Founder and CEO of Dhaka Flow.

The Youth Fest lineup continues to feature a dynamic mix of trauma-informed yoga, self-defense classes, group counseling circles, and talks from renowned leaders, including Shameran Abed (Executive Director, BRAC International) and Faiaz Rahman (Founder of Turaag Active), as well as youth entrepreneurs from Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh.

This youth-driven wellness revolution is powered by proud sponsors Olympic Industries Limited and Techno Drugs Ltd., with community support from JCI and United Hospital.

A powerful mind coupled with a robust body is truly the greatest strength,” stated a spokesperson from Olympic Industries. “We are delighted to join hands with Dhaka Flow in our mission to foster a healthier Bangladesh.

Key highlights from our latest visits featured mental health discussions led by Dr. Salma Ikram from United Hospital, empowerment seminars, along with uplifting talks centered on themes of identity, resilience, and life purpose.

As the festival reaches its concluding phase, the remaining destinations feature visits to UCB, BRAC University, AIUB, and East West University—each campus event meticulously designed to connect with students at their current level and ignite change from within.
