A dying mother suffered greatly as the son she had tirelessly nurtured through education achieved success and then forsaken her to destiny. Thus, she left behind a heart-wrenching letter.
-
The pastor, who had been discussing the duty of caring for one’s parents during his sermon, was reading a letter that described the vibrant funeral arrangements the son planned for her despite never having paid a visit.
-
The comments were divided, with some individuals believing the young man made the correct decision by distancing himself from his mother once he achieved success.
-
Others argued that individuals should look after their parents as they age, since they too will require support in the future.
An older lady wrote a deeply upsetting letter to her son after he abandoned her in their neglected house filled with incomplete construction projects.
What caused the woman to look sad?
In the letter which was read by a pastor and shared on TikTok by Daniel Ontiri, the woman shared that she sold everything so that her son could go to school all the way to college and be successful for her’s and God’s sake.
“Son, I am shocked that after everything I did for you, nothing could make sense to you. I am on my deathbed all alone after all that struggling with you my son,” she wrote.
“I know after I am long gone, you will come and tell me that I am the best mum in town. You will give money for my corpse’s preservation and to pay for my hospital bills. Why do you love corpses,” she asked.
What were the woman’s thoughts on her own funeral arrangements?
The ailing woman anticipated that her son would clear all the bushes around her house and paint it so that he could entertain his guests.
“You will often visit my body at the morgue to see how it has been preserved but you hardly l go home to see how I am fairing on; it is like you love corpses,” she said.
“Son, when I was living, you couldn’t afford to get me even a leso, yet now you intend to purchase an extravagant coffin and dress me in costly funeral garments. How have I ended up deserving such treatment?” she questioned.
The woman also foretold that her son would likely opt for external catering services and distribute delicacies among her guests during the funeral, despite breakfast being a struggle for her.
“I want you to understand that nowhere in the whole world can someone love a child as much as a mother does, for she is the first person to embrace you, have faith in you, and the final one to ever abandon you,” she stated.
What was the response of online users to the letter?

“Some parents can be toxic, we should not judge without listening to the sons side..mm siwezi judge the guy.”
JudyMoraa:
This is my older sister; our parents sold everything they owned to cover her tuition costs, but she left them behind. It was me who found work overseas, ensuring your parents were taken care of, even getting you into college 🙏.
Issaboke:
Really though, did Msee tell you to wait? As a parent, it’s your duty to look after your children since nobody forced you to have them. You aren’t doing them a favor; it’s your obligation. The decision now lies with your kids regarding how they use their own money… everyone has to fend for themselves ultimately because, at the end of the day, they didn’t ask to be born. So this whole idea of expecting things isn’t valid 😂😂…… put down those hands.

Parents ought to understand that children are not meant to be investment schemes; rather, they are your responsibility, not the reverse.
Misunderstanding arises as mother declines to bury daughter
In a different tale, a woman from Morogoro, Tanzania halted the funeral arrangements for her 30-year-old daughter and firmly believed that prayer would restore her life.
Irene Joseph Akaro’s father, nonetheless, was against this idea, contending that his daughter ought to be laid to rest following the traditions of the Catholic Church.
Thomas Mpala from the Pentecostal Church stated that the mother’s belief in resurrection was consistent with their own teachings.
